Nitrogen Oxides are gases that are made up of nitrogen and oxygen. The most common Nitrogen Oxides are Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), and Nitrous Oxide (N2O). These gases come from burning of fossil fuels. They are some of the main contributors to ground-level smog.
