Acid Rain is one of the many destructive results of burning Fossil Fuels. The Sulfur Dioxide and Nitrogen Oxide from factories and vehicles react with water vapor and become acidic. When it rains, the acid can cause diseases such as Bronchitis and Asthma, and it generally makes it harder for everyone to breath. Acid rain is harmful to our ecosystem as well. When it rains, it goes into our rivers, streams, and other water supplies. It can dissolve nutrients that trees require to grow in the soil.
